We are thrilled to share the incredible success of the Brooklyn Mela 2023 by AICC (Allama Iqbal Community Center), a spectacular event held on Sunday, August 13th, at Little Pakistan, Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn, NY. Thousands of Pakistani Americans, families, and children came together to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day in a truly unforgettable way.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including New York City Mayor Mr. Eric Adams, NYC Public Advocate Mr. Jumaane Williams, and dedicated NYPD officers, alongside Congresswoman other officials from the 70th precinct and esteemed community leaders. Their support and participation added to the significance of this special day.
Our AICC team worked tirelessly to make this event a resounding success, and we are incredibly proud of their dedication and hard work. The atmosphere was electrifying as renowned Pakistani singers mesmerized the crowd with their magical performances. The dance routines were nothing short of amazing, filling the air with energy and joy.
The spirit of patriotism soared as attendees sang along to national songs, dressed in traditional Pakistani attire, and savored the delicious flavors of desi food from stalls that lined the venue. Children had their own play area, ensuring that the entire family enjoyed every moment of the celebration.
The evening was truly a testament to the unity and pride of the Pakistani American community, and we couldn’t be happier with the overwhelming response. Thank you to everyone who attended, performed, and contributed to making the Brooklyn Mela 2023 a grand success. Together, we created cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
